Any of you folks know of any good resources for people looking to build a fantasy world history from the bottom up?

I'm sort of at a road block right now with world building in that I have a story that I really want to tell, but I know I need to put a lot more work into the world before I can start writing its. The problem is that I've always been more of a top down builder, who focuses on the small scale, personal story stuff first and then moves my way up to the world level stuff. But with this one I think I need to work on the world history first so that it can inform the characters.<br><br>I feel as if I'm missing a lot of the "how to"s of building a world history, so I thought I'd ask the worldbuilding community if anybody knows of some good resources that I could use to improve my world building skills. I've looked at the worldbuilding FAQ, but only found one resource that seemed to relate to what I was looking for. <br><br>Here's hoping you all can help me out!<br><br>TLDR: I'm a top-down builder trying to write a story that needs a bottom-up build.
