It takes less than 5 minutes to make revision flashcards

\------------------------

I'm a UK student, currently sitting my BTECs. It's exam season now in the UK, so its time to revise for exams. I've used flashcards to revise for exams for years... but I've recently started making my flashcards differently.

When I was younger I used to write the question on one side, and the answer on the other. It takes ages!

Instead, I write the topic on one side, and the main points on the other. Then I use them by trying to remember each point. It's so much quicker, and it really helps me remember things. I'm not saying this will work for everyone, but it helps me. It's also really helped me when I'm too stressed to think of questions to put on my flashcards.

To make flashcards in 5 minutes:

1. Take a piece of A4 paper, and fold it in half.
2. Open it out, and draw a line down the middle.
3. Write the topic (e.g. mitosis, the american revolution) on one half of the page, and the main points on the other.
4. Cut the paper in half (horizontally) and re-draw the line on each half. This creates two revision cards.
5. Cut along the line you drew.
6. Repeat steps 3-6 until you have enough to revise from.

This method is much quicker, but it does mean you have more flash cards to go through.

There you go, that's my study tip for the day
