I was a disabled veteran and left the army after 9/11. I had a really difficult time in the service and it took almost 10 years for me to get past that. While I missed the camaraderie of the army, I also didn’t really want anything to do with the military. I didn’t even go to a VFW until around 2016 at the urging of some of my friends.

When I got back into guns, I got a few and enjoyed shooting them. Then in 2019 I found out about display cases and how they were used at funerals.

I don’t have many friends left, so I got a display case for the funeral of my friend and fellow veteran.

Since then I have gotten over 100 display cases in the same configuration.

A few months ago, I dreamed up the ultimate rifle to shoot in honor of my fallen brothers and sister. I wanted something extremely accurate and with a high power optic to shoot out well beyond what most people will do. I also wanted to be able to easily transport it and all the gear I need for it.

I spent months looking and slowly piecing together the components to make it happen. I was going to save for it and one day in a year or 2 get it.

My wife surprised me with this incredible rifle and I don’t have words for how much it means to me. It’s already been out at 1000 yards with extremely good groups.

I am so proud of it and the cause I shoot it for. I will use it to honor all those who didn’t make it back home. They will never be forgotten.

It’s a Savage 110 ultralite with a Vortex Viper PST Gen II.

#22killyears ?
