“Witches are not a cult.” Stop erasing indigenous spirituality

I’ve seen countless posts in here, full of women claiming witchcraft and doing whatever the fuck they want with it. They are all so fucking far removed from the roots of the word. This word has been used to kill millions of innocent people. But most in here are so far removed from reality that they don’t care that they just use it as a fun little trend.

And then they go even further by blending it with more indigenous spirituality. I am native. I am Native American. I have powers. I have worked with witches. They are not the same thing. Stop appropriating my religion just to fit your aesthetic. It makes me sick.

And then they claim WitchesVsPatriarchy is an intersectional sub. If you can’t see how erasing our people and putting us into your “witchcraft” is an act of patriarchal and colonialist behavior, then you are a good example of performative activism.

Get your shit together. Stop blending ALL female spiritualities as one thing. They are not the same and if you don’t think that’s a problem, you are the problem.
