CMV: As much as you may dislike him, he is not a monster, or evil, and to repeatedly call him that is divisive and childish.

I think it’s time we all grew up a bit. I don’t like the president. I didn’t vote for him. I hope he loses in November. But I don’t think he’s the most evil, most divisive, most ignorant, most stupid, most narcissistic, most selfish person alive. I don’t think he’s the monster he’s made out to be. I don’t think he’s the most racist person alive, or the most sexist. I don’t think he’s the most corrupt, or the most self-serving. I don’t think he’s the most hateful, or the most divisive. I don’t think that no matter how hard you want him to be. I think he’s an incredibly flawed human who I very strongly disagree with on policy, and who I find to be a very crude and rude person, but I don’t think he’s pure evil, and I don’t think the other side is purely evil either. <br><br>I think you should be able to express an opinion without people just replying “Orange man bad!”, just like I can express an opinion without people replying “Snowflakes are triggered!”. <br><br>I think you should be able to go onto a Republican-leaning chamber like this one without being downvoted into oblivion. I think the same should happen for conservatives on Democrat-leaning subreddits. <br><br>I think that not only should we all be able to agree to disagree, we should be able to have respectful, mature discussions, even though we may disagree. I think that the modern concept of “echo chambers” is disgusting, and we should all make more of an effort to be open to other’s ideas. Just because you disagree with someone or a group of people doesn’t mean they’re stupid or evil; it just means you see the world a little bit differently. <br><br>I think we should all grow up, and stop being offended by every little thing. I think we should all work to create a world where we can talk about important issues and not be seen as a monster. I think we should accept that, no matter how much you may dislike someone, they aren’t the most evil person to have ever lived. I think we should all stop being so childish and assume that everyone we disagree with is stupid and evil. <br><br>I think if we all spent more time listening to each other, and less time attacking each other for differing opinions, the world would be a better place. I think that we all need to stop being offended by every little thing, we all need to stop taking everything so seriously, and we all need to just grow the hell up. <br><br>Edit: Wow this blew up faster than I thought it would. If you feel the need to message me death threats, or tell me I should kill myself, or call me a racist because of a post I wrote on chambers, please, just stop. If you think I’m the most evil, most hateful, most divisive, most stupid, most ignorant person in the world for having a differing opinion, just please grow up. That’s all I’m asking. Grow. Up.
