Surely admitting that you have a mental illness is not a political statement. But with psychology being so politicized, it feels like it is

I have been admitting that I have depression, ADHD and anxiety for a couple of years now, but with psychology being so politicized and especially with the rise of anti-psychiatry, I don’t want to be lumped in with the people who say they don’t have a mental illness, they just have a bad conscience or whatever. I am not sure how to feel about this. Anyways, I am sorry for rambling, if you have any thoughts on this, I would greatly appreciate them, thank you.
