Why I dont like active recall.

Hi my friend , I dont like active recall , as it feels like busywork, I like to understand the material and the process as it will stick in the long run as oppose to using this overhyped technique and if you memorise something then it will fade away and will not stick in the long run , as it is not worthy to memorise everything .
