Not everyone in minimalism is a perfectionist. You don’t have to be the same. Be your own person.

I see a lot of people in this sub say “I could never go to that extent but I don’t want to be a consumerist so I guess this is what I would just have to be”. Minimalism is just minimalising. You don’t need to be like everyone else in order to be like everyone else in this sub. You don’t have to be a perfectionist with everything or your whole house neat in order to be called a minimalist. Just be your own person, minimalise anything that you see wrong in your life. You don’t have to just minimalise your clothes, your home, your jewellery and etc like some people especially on Instagram do so much but you can minimalise anything you don’t like or anything you don’t like about yourself in your life in any shape or form. If you don’t like that you’re being a consumerist which is why you want to be a minimalist then just cut out consumerist activities, or minimalise it. It’s okay to have hobbies. It’s okay to do anything you want and be a minimalist and enjoy yourself. It’s okay to be who you are. It’s your life and your choice what you do in life. If you don’t want to be a consumerist then cut it out, but don’t get rid of everything especially because you see a lot of people on Instagram etc do it. You only have to be you.
