Dear friends,

I am global citizen of Indian descent and have lived in North America for almost 20 years now. I was born and raised in Kerala and grew up in Trivandrum. I am a senior IT consultant global firm. I have lived in various countries across the world including the Middle East.

I wanted to give you my perspective as to why I believe this bill is necessary for India. Despite the fact I have lived in India for less than a third of my life, I embrace the principles of Hindutva and believe it is the most inclusive ideology based on Indian historical evidence. I always carry the karma of India with me wherever I go.

Indian history has had almost 1700 years of Muslim rule with the last 200 years being British rule. Prior to this, India was the 3rd largest global economy with the Indus Valley Civilisation being the oldest on record.

The scars of partition will never be forgotten. Although I was not alive then, I have heard the pain of partition from my elderly relatives.

India was raped for over a thousand years by Muslim invaders. The prime examples are the destruction of the Somnath temple in Gujarat and Nalanda University.

India needs the Citizenship Amendment Act to protect the last remaining Hindus from Bangladeshi and Pakistani refugees. Both of these countries are Islamic states and practice Sharia Law. If India were to become an Islamic state one day, the last bastion of Hinduism would be destroyed forever.

I would like to say to fellow Hindus and liberals who oppose the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC), "What is the cutoff point? What percent of India will it take to become a Muslim majority state? 51%? 60%? I can go on and on. ".

India is the only country where we have allowed Islam to flourish without Sharia Law. Islam was born in the Middle East and has been imposed by invaders. We have been historically soft on them.

I would like to say to the Muslim protesters at the Kochi airport, "Where were you when the Babri Masjid was demolished? Where were you when 100s of temples were destroyed by Muslim invaders? What did you do when the 3 partition riots happened? Why do you need special laws in India? Why do you threaten India with a civil war when you protest? What did you do for India to get freedom? ".

If you are going to burn Kerala and destroy public property, that is your prerogative. I want to remind you that the Sabarimala protests last year damaged Kerala global tourism. I have not visited Kerala in 3 years and do not plan to anytime soon. I have no business there.

Similarly, there are global allegations of Muslim clearing out forests and terrorising ancient Hindu temple festivals. Examples include the Attukal Pongala and Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple. Why do you deviate from the principles of Hinduism?

I global citizen of Indian descent have no sympathy for you. If you want to live in India as a Muslim, there is an Indian Constitution for you to follow. Your holy book, the Quran, does not supersede the Constitution of India.

If you are protesting the CAA everywhere in India, ask yourselves a simple question. Can you protest in Saudi Arabia or in any other Middle Eastern country?

If you are going to protest outside the Kochi airport, why don't you go to the streets of Calicut and protest against CAA?.

Can you do this in Saudi Arabia or in any other Middle Eastern country?

What did you do in 1947? Did you not want partition and live in Pakistan itself?

Do you realise what would happen to India demographically if Pakistan and Bangladesh were to invade one day?

I have one message for all of you protesting, "Live in India as per the Constitution. Can you do this in Saudi Arabia or in the Middle East? If you can't live with us, leave India and go to Saudi Arabia or in the Middle East. Let us live with dignity and freedom".

PS: I understand the emotion you are going through. I am venting the karma that has been imposed on India for centuries.
