Today's news about Buddhism being the most peaceful religion is a long propaganda. All we need to see is Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Myanmar and the plight of hindus in each country

For those who live in Sri Lanka, they will tell you the manner in which sinhalese Buddhists have treated the Tamil population. Why do you think LTTE was formed in the first place. Further back in history, it was sinhalese Buddhists who attacked Anuradhapura and destroyed hindu temples in the 7th century AD. Today Buddhism is the reason why Lanka has never become a secular country. Further, can we forget the Ashok style mass killing of Tamils by Buddhists in 1983. <br><br>In Bhutan, while Bhutanese claim it to be a secular country, it actually is a Buddhist nation run by a Buddhist council with the nation's law being based on Buddhist laws. The manner in which they treated Nepali population is well known, many of who had to run away for their lives to Nepal. Today many are still living in refugee camps in Nepal<br><br>In Myanmar, the manner in which Rohingya Muslims are treated is well known. Further, I would like to add a lesser known fact that hindus in Myanmar have also been targeted by Buddhists. The hindus have to live in ghettos and are actively being converted, despite the Burmese government preventing such conversions.
