Just a dad ranting...

I'm a single dad to two kids. I share a house with a woman who is like a mother to them, but we aren't in a relationship. She does their babysitting when I'm at work. To be quick about it, she is frugal in extreme. She has been known to take a man's trash and reuse it, she scrubs the cinch of the peanut butter jar with soap and water so she can use it for coffee creamer, she has even been known to "rescue" food from the garbage. But she's not a hoarder, she has a use for everything.

I love her like a mother and I've grown to respect her individuality. She's special and I'm glad she's in our lives.

But she's put my daughter on to her individuality. She's been throwing everything away. Old clothes, books, toys, anything she feels like she can't use, she just throws it away. She's only 9. I've tried to talk to her, but she gets mad and tells me I'm not frugal enough.

I've had to put stickers on my furniture so she knows it's mine and she doesn't throw it away.

I love her more than life itself, but why can't she just let me live a little? I don't want to take her away from the woman she's grown to love like a mother, so I'm going to just sit here and let her throw out my belongings. I'm covered in tears. Please pray for me.
