App idea: Buy/sell/trade apps to match buyers and sellers in the same city/region.

I have been using apps like Depop, Mercari, Facebook Marketplace, Letgo, and Craigslist to buy and sell all sorts of items. <br><br>What seems to be missing is an app that specifically facilitates matching buyers and sellers in the **same city/region**. <br><br>Here’s how it would work: <br>1. The app allows buyers to list categories of items they want to buy. <br>2. The app allows sellers to list categories of items they would like to sell. <br>3. When a buyer and seller in the same city match based on the category of item, they are connected via chat. <br><br>For example: <br>-Buyer posts that they want to buy a used road bike in the NYC area. <br>-Seller posts that they want to sell a used road bike in the NYC area. <br>-The app connects the buyer and seller based on the regional location and category of the item. They can negotiate a price and meet up to exchange the item. <br><br>There are a few reasons why this type of regional app could be exciting: <br>1. By facilitating more authenticated connections between buyers and sellers in the same city, this type of app could help prevent a lot of the scams and shipping mishaps that seem to be common on other buy/sell/trade apps. <br>2.
