In the car industry, Europe is getting the short end of the stick

Based on several facts :<br><br> - The vw group has been at the forefront of the recent spate of nonsense, anti semitic, and blatantly racist ads, with audi and its obnoxious, hypersexualized commercials with a scantily-clad Emma stone (who, in all fairness, has been very outspoken about the hypersexualization of women in the media, but still chose to participate in this commercial) and vw using a very blatant anti semitic trope in one of their commercials.<br><br> - Pretty much every car manufacturer seems to be going for the "its not a car, its a living space on wheels" nonsense, turning the car into a smartphone on wheels with gargantuan screens, lights all over the place, giant sunroofs and god knows what else. The only thing missing is a goddamn microwave.<br><br> - They are also putting out these massive suv's that seem to grow bigger with every iteration.<br><br> - Commercials for cars are mostly about the "feel", the music is slow, the camera is in black and white and the voice is soft and deep and slow, they talk about "the journey", the feeling of freedom, the feeling of living in the moment.<br><br> - Car colors are also getting incredibly bland, with black, white and gray being the norm.<br><br> - Manufactures are also dropping model names in favor of alphanumerics and going for a "680hc" "a4Ultra" names, making it impossible to tell a model from one based on the name alone.<br><br> - And finally, with the death of internal combustion engines, the soul of a car is dead too.<br><br>I am a car enthusiast, i love cars, and i hate what car manufacturers are doing. And i certainly am not alone, but such is the fate of a minority.<br><br>Oh well.<br><br>Edit :<br><br>I want to thank everyone for taking the time to read this nonsense, i'm glad it sparked debate and i'll address some things.<br><br>First, i am a minority, i understand this and i have no expectation for the car industry to shift towards my wishes.<br><br>The only things i want are:<br><br> - Less Gordian screens.<br><br> - Less lights.<br><br> - Less marketing with gimmicks and bullshitty ads.<br><br> - Less unnecessary bs "living space" nonsense.<br><br> - Less bullshit names.<br><br> - More colors.<br><br> - Less bullshit, less "feels", more substance.<br><br> - More transparency with safety tests.<br><br> - Less EU sound laws.<br><br> - Manufacturers to stop using "emotional bullshittery" to sell their cars.<br><br>I don't care for the environment, or global warming, or suv's, or the shortfall in supply, or any other reason you can think of for the car industry to be the way it is, i just hate it.<br><br>And i certainly am entitled to an opinion as well, which is why i created this post.
