I live in a big apartment in the city that is literally right next to a park. Its one of the perks in living here, my view is of a park so I can see nature. I've lived here for 5 years now.

A lot of times I will hear kids laughing and playing in the park. I hear their voices and don't see them. I have to look REALLY hard to locate who the noise is coming from. I just have to look at a random spot in the park and sometimes I can see them. Its only visual though. I never see them move. I have to continuosly focus on the spot to see them. If I end up looking somewhere else for a second and come back to where I was looking they're gone. I have to search again and sometimes find them in a completely different spot. It feels like my brain was somehow told to not see kids unless I really want to focus on them. Its not weird to me until I tell others about it and they think its crazy.

This has also happened to me in other places too. Like when I used to ride the bus in college in the morning I would hear people talking and laughing, and have to search to see who's talking. Sometimes I don't see who it is at all.
