Let me break it down for ya, since some seem confused as to what the main issue with this technology is. Here we go.

1. **AI sucks up the work hours and creative input of real people**. "Training" the large language model requires you to train it with real texts, art, voice, and so on, from real artists. This is known as "training data" - this is how the model learns to create "its own" art. The model sucks up your work hours, or the work hours of other creatives, to do this. This is why companies like Midjourney don't need to do work. They don't need to train an artist or hire an artist. You do all the work for them, and they benefit from it. This is called parasitic behavior.

2. **The AI model then "borrows" from this training data**. It then "borrows" aspects of your work. Say you train a model with Rembrandt's paintings, it's going to use that training data to generate new paintings. This "borrowed" training data is how the model generates content. This is not some magical creative spirit that's inspiring this model. This is the result of work hours from all the artists in the training data. The model then uses aspects of those works to create new works. This is called theft.

3. **You are not the owner of your creative work if you use AI**. The training data came from other artists. Who owns what, then? It's unclear, but you certainly don't. Most of you know that the AI itself is owned by whoever owns the company, like Meta. You don't own your work when you use AI. You don't even own the work you've created with your own hands if you've trained the model with your own work. This is called copyright infringement.

4. **Your creative work is going to be used to train AI**. Whether you like it or not, artists, your work is going to be used to train AI models. It's already happened, and it's happening even as you read this. This is called exploitation.

5. **Doctors, teachers, lawyers, builders, and other jobs, beware**. You think AI can't do your job? It can. It can train on your voice, your mannerisms, your teaching or treatment style, your construction methods, your legal arguments, and use them to do your job for less than you charge. The companies who make these AI models have no problem letting them do your job, because they don't pay these models. Who loses? You do. This is called corporate greed.

6. **AI drives down wages**. The companies who can use AI to do your job will. This is because AI can do your job at a fraction of the cost and without any hassle. Who loses? You do. This is called wage theft.

7. **AI takes jobs**. Who loses? You do. This is called unemployment.

8. **AI increases unemployment**. Who loses? We all do. This is called social and economic collapse.

9. **AI takes money from artists**. Who loses? We all do. This is called cultural collapse.

Hope that helped!
