I'm a witch and I'm annoyed with the representation of witches online

I don't want to be rude, and I'm happy others are so interested in this ancient craft. I'm just tired of the aesthetic of witchcraft being portrayed as essentially goth girl. I'm not this kind of person. Witchcraft is also an ancient practice of connecting with Mother Earth and the nature in your area. It's not just about being goth and occult and performing 'magical' rituals.

This is essentially paganism, and it's given a bad name. If you see a dark skinned dark clothed woman performing a ritual, no. Witchcraft is also just about healing and connecting with the natural world.

It's also not the "girl boss" part of the pagan aesthetic where it's like the woman is the goddess. I would rather call myself a witch because of paganism, and my dislike of the life forced upon us rather than this aesthetic. I also don't like the aesthetic because it's overwhelmingly white and dark skinned women are given this exoticized and fetishized "island goddess" aesthetic.

I overall have a lot of respect and appreciation for others practicing witchcraft, but I wish it wasn't so offensive to paganism and the deeply unique cultures of others in the representation of it. Witchcraft isn't just "feminist" or "empowerment". It's essentially paganism, and paganism involves non feminized deities or anything like that.
