The difference between rich people and poor people

I used to be a handyman for a bunch of wealthy homes and I saw this beautiful view every morning. I was able to get a view that millionaires see everyday. I’ve been handyman for 300 dollar neighborhoods, 300 thousand dollar neighborhoods, and 3 million dollar neighborhoods. you can imagine I’ve seen a lot of rich people and how they act and what they think about people like me.

You can clearly tell who’s an asshole and who’s a friendship maker. I would get invited to parties, get tips, and even help write my resume and letters of recommendation for jobs I was applying for.

But the way I compare rich people and poor people is buy and sell. Rich people buy something and sell it, they buy a house for 300,000 and sell it for 500,000. They buy apple stock in 1990 and sell it in 2010. They do not buy things to consume them, they buy something to produce it.

Poor people buy something to consume it. They never try to sell it, they never try to make money on the things they buy. Everything that comes through their hands just comes to rest.

I buy milk to consume it, I don’t buy milk to sell milk. I don’t see the point in investing and I think that’s the problem with too many Americans.

Edit: you guys don’t see my point. I’m not trying to sell milk haha. I’m just trying to make the point that rich people see the world very differently. A rich person buys a house to air BnB it, a poor person buys a house to live in. A rich person looks at a car as an asset, a poor person looks at it as a product. I’m not saying buy and sell something, I’m saying that rich people see everything as an asset, especially themselves. Rich people do not see money as a way to consume, they buy and sell everything.
