Best small towns in Europe?

I’m looking for small towns with 150k or less people, this is for a trip starting in May 2024 and want to go to Europe for 6 months, I’m able to travel starting in May 2024 and want to go to Europe for 6 months, to get an idea of what I like I live in San Francisco California and love it here, I do prefer a more well rounded town, I don’t want to go to a touristy town because I’m planning on staying for 6 months
