I just saw a post that got locked because it was from a couple years ago but it had some really good information on how to lift certain items from walmarts

edit to add that I shoplifted in a small town walmart. I don’t know if it’s different at city Walmarts but the ones I always go to don’t have sensors at the doors

1. Movies/DVDs/Cds - I never lift dvd movies, I do steal cds though. I put the cd on the bottom of one of my reusable bags and just walk out. I’ve gotten away with at least $100 worth of cds just walking out of Walmart. But as for regular movies / dvds you can lift them by getting 2 dvds, One that is a security tag / one that isn’t and then you place the security tag dvd closest to your body and the regular / untagged dvd on top of it and just walk out. You won’t trigger the alarms

2. Monster /Rockstar bang energy / anything energy drinks - You can just walk out of the store with them. You just have to walk at a normal pace out the door, the alarms won’t even go off / if they do , they just say “thank you for shopping at Walmart” instead of “please show a store associate your receipt”

3. Jewelry - Fake / costume jewelry is really easy to lift. You can store the earrings and rings and necklaces in your socks, or in your shoes, basically wherever you would store a small item

4. Anything in the electronics area (besides gaming stuff) - I’ve never had trouble lifting anything from that section. The security cameras just focus on the gaming stuff. Portable chargers are the easiest to lift, just tuck them in your pocket / purse and walk out

5. Video Games (excluding ps5 games, Xbox series x games, Nintendo switch games) - I’ve never had trouble lifting regular games like red dead redemption 2, or bully, or just the old games that aren’t as popular anymore. I just place them in my reusable bags on the bottom and walk out and I’ve never had trouble

6. Anything at the front of the store that’s like little miscellaneous items - keychains, dumb little toys, candy, gum, anything like that is easy to lift because the employees aren’t usually paying attention to the cameras at the front. You can store these items in your socks and shoes, or apartment the dirty / used tissues you find on the floor in random places

7. The world’s okayest golfer / The world’s best dad t shirts - in the men’s section they have a whole display of the worlds okayest golfer / the worlds best dad tshirts. I’ve never seen anyone else but me steal these, but I just grab an armful of them and walk out and hide them in my car before coming back in the store

8. Rubbers / condoms - rubbers are so easy to lift. I just keep them in my pocket and walk out, or I’ll hide them in a shoebox and fill it up with a bunch of them and just walk out

9. Clorox wipes / disinfectant wipes - the big containers of wipes are easy to lift. Everytime I lift these I hide them inside empty shoe boxes and then just walk out. They usually go un noticed and there’s never anyone at the self checkout

10. Royal purple hair dye / Got2b purple hair dye / Manic Panic hair dye - I lift so much of the purple hair dye from Walmart and they never stop me. They usually cost between $9-$15 per container. I hide it in shoeboxes and empty reusable bags / containers and just walk out

11. Water flavoring / Koolaid flavor powder - these are so easy to lift. I just hide them in my pockets and walk out. You can also store them in empty shoe boxes and just walk out

12. Little toys that come in packs of like 4 or 6 / stress balls / small stuffed animals / stress squishers - these are basically the same thing as the small miscellaneous items that they sell at the front of the store. I hide them in shoes, socks, shoesboxes, a little bit everywhere

13. Stationary supplies (writing journals / pens / pencils / pencil sharpeners / pencil cases / a whole bunch of other stuff) - anything in the school supply section are all pretty easy to lift. I just hide them in empty shoeboxes / containers and reusable bags and walk out

14. Candles - Candles are really easy to lift. I hide the small ones in empty shoeboxes and just walk out. The larger ones I hide in reusable bags and just walk out / sometimes I hide the larger ones on the bottom of my cart and just cover them with reusable bags / empty boxes / etc and just walk out.
You can also lift candles by putting a small one in your shoe and then just walking out. I’ve never been caught lifting candles from Walmart

15. Aromatherapy / essential oil diffusers - If you want to lift one of these I recommend going to the self checkout. You can lift the big essential oil diffusers by placing them in empty shoeboxes / ventilation areas at the bottom of your cart. You just need to cover them up with empty shoeboxes / reusable bags / etc and just walk out. I’ve never had trouble with these. The small ones are also easy to lift and they can be placed inside empty shoeboxes / containers and reusable bags just walked out
If you’re using the self checkout to lift these, a good way to lift them is to scan all of your other items and then at the end place the diffuser on the bottom on the scale after you’ve already paid. They won’t notice it at the self checkout

16. Soft bristle toothbrushes - these are the ones that aren’t in the electrical toothbrush section. They’re all the way in the back of the store near the pharmacy. You can lift a bunch of these and just place a few of them in your shoes and / or socks and walk out.
I usually just place them in empty shoeboxes / containers and reusable bags and just walk out. They go un noticed basically every time I lift them

17. Air Wick plug ins - basically the same thing as the candles but these are even easier to lift. I place a few of them in the bottom of my shoes and just walk out. I’ve never been stopped by employees. I usually just place them in empty shoeboxes and reusable bags and just walk out and I’ve never had trouble

18. Soft bristle toothpaste / travel sized toothpaste - I never actually lift the toothpaste. I just lift the toothbrushes. But I think the toothpaste would be just as easy to lift. You can hide them in empty shoeboxes / containers / reusable bags and just walk out. I usually just keep them in my pockets or shove them down my socks and just walk out. You could also hide them in your shoes and just walk out

19. Travel sized items / anything “sample” sized - basically anything / everything in the sample sized section is easy to lift. I just hide them in empty shoeboxes / containers / reusable bags and just walk out. I usually fill up my pockets with them and just walk out. You can also hide them in your shoes and just walk out. There’s usually no security cameras pointed at the travel sized items section. This section also usually has a bunch of different things in it, like toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc

[REMOVED]
