Our gay, lesbian, and trans friends are in danger, and speaking out to protect them is being seen as "politics" because of a shitty word associated with it

Punishing gay marriage by not allowing adoption to gay families because "you won't be able to give them a mom/dad", or punishing trans people by not letting them use their preferred bathrooms is fucking bullshit. <br><br>Gay and trans people are WAY more likely to commit suicide because society marginalizes them, and you would rather punish them than help them? <br><br>I heard a conversation where a (right-wing) person said "I don't want to be seen as left-wing by mentioning that trans people are being killed and I have to protect them, but I don't want to protect them because I might be seen as left-wing."<br><br>Sorry, but you're a piece of **garbage** for not standing up for harmlessly suicidal people because of "politics".<br><br>Edit: My God, I'm glad that I was right about this being unpopular :(
