I am an international student in Germany. I am 24 years old. I am a software engineer and earn quite well, but I haven't been paying myself much salary and now my company owes me about $10000. I am not totally sure if I can do this, but the tax would be about $3000 so I would be left with $7000. Now, this might not be a lot for Americans, but for me it's quite a lot and I would like to know what I should do with it.

I have about $2000 in my bank account, $14000 in stocks and $1000 in bonds.

The stocks are about $9000 in European ETFs and $4000 in American ETFs. I have a $1000 dollar in gold ETF (being German, we love gold) and $1000 dollar in European corporate bonds because I was experimenting with this. I used to have about $5000 in stocks at the end of 2021, but in 2022 I lost about half of my portfolio because I hadn't started with dollar-cost averaging yet.

I would like to pay off my student loan, but that's just $2500 with an interest of 1.66%. I would also like to buy a car, but that would be quite pointless in the city. I am thinking about buying an apartment because I have quite a large rent. I am also thinking about just putting it into my ISA.

What should I do do with this $7000? What should I do in general?
