I think I came up with an original OC, but need some feedback

So, I’m currently trying to make it into a creative writing program for grad school, and want to write a story for my submission that uses an original idea and character. I’ve done some research and brainstorming and come up with something that I’m pretty happy with. My hope is to hear your thoughts and see how original this character really is. Here’s my start at a character, and then I’ll explain my story idea. Let me know what you think!<br><br>Character info: <br><br>Name: Wystan Delphi<br><br>Age: 41<br><br>Appearance: Wystan has a slender build, about 5’9”, some light freckles, and dark hair in a symmetrical bob. He’s always dressed in expensive and well maintained attire, usually three piece suits and high end designer dresses. He’s known for having a perfect smile, and makes sure to flash it as often as possible. He’s often seen carrying an expensive, ornate cane. <br><br>Personality/Backstory: Wystan was a child prodigy who became involved with the art world at age 13, was married and a wealthy socialite by the time he was 30, and a celebrated artist by 40. On the surface, Wystan is a sweet and charming man who is happy to go to great lengths to make people happy. He has an incredible ability to mimic the people around him, and can adapt to nearly any situation. He’s a very experimental artist, and works in a wide variety of mediums. He’s known for his eclecticism, his ability to easily charm people, and his love of all the finer things in life. <br><br>The truth is that Wystan is a serial killer, and has been since he was a teenager. He has spent years developing his act, and his whole life as a famous artist is a ruse to get away with murder. He has a near complete lack of empathy, and has never shown a preference for any particular type of victim. Wystan is highly intelligent, with a high level of cognitive function and incredible social awareness. <br><br>Story idea: Wystan is a modern day Dorian Gray, but with a twist. Instead of painting a portrait and cursed to be young while he’s actually aging, Wystan creates these sculptures that capture the essence of the people he kills. This is how he’ll avoid getting caught. He’ll murder people in a way that makes them look like they died in a tragic accident, and then hold an exhibition of the sculptures he’s made from his victims. Because of his incredible social abilities, he’ll be able to make himself look grief stricken, especially if he kills people close to him. Through the whole process, he’ll be documenting himself and his artistic process, so that he’ll look like the victim, as well. There will be a big twist at the end, where it is revealed that some of the sculptures are magical, and hold parts of the soul of the people Wystan killed. Wystan will end up being killed by these sculptures, in some way that will force him to relive the death of his victims. <br><br>So, let me know what you think! Is this character original? Are the some similar characters floating around out there that I should know about?
