I am a black man and this George Floyd stuff has me so down in the dumps.

I am a resident in a medical specialty, all my patients are here for various forms of substance abuse and I have seen substance abuse tear families apart and turn relatives of my patients against each other. I've seen substance abuse destroy entire families. I've seen the legal system tear families apart and I've seen the justice system fuck people here for small infractions. The system is fucked and it really is a shitty world but nothing justifies rioting and this is a really really REALLY shitty day. The riots over in LA are fucking crazy and the looting is so shitty. I would understand angered protests if they were peaceful but they aren't. I don't think the system is perfect but nothing justifies this. I hate it and I wish people would calm down and realize there is a better way than to destroy property and businesses.
