What are in your opinion the most effective pistol calibers in competition shooting?

For me personally , this is from experience over many decades , <br><br>I believe the most effective pistol caliber is 9x19mm Parabellum and .40S&W. <br><br>I'm not referring to self-defense for a civilian. I'm talking for competition shooting. <br><br>I'm not referring to sport shooting . I'm referring to competition pistol shooting. <br><br>I have found that 9mm and .40S&W are the best calibers for competition pistol shooting , and in my opinion the best calibers for sport shooting and self-defense for a civilian. <br><br>I observe that most pistol calibers have been phased out and are no longer used in competition in the modern competition world. <br><br>I observe that most pistol calibers have been phased out and are no longer used in sport shooting in the modern sport shooting world. <br><br>I observe that most pistol calibers have been phased out and are no longer used in self-defense for a civilian in the modern civilian self-defense world. <br><br>Now I have found that .380acp is also very effective in competition shooting. <br><br>I have found that .40S&W is also very effective in self-defense for a civilian. <br><br>I have found that .40S&W is also very effective in sport shooting. <br><br>So these are my opinions on pistol calibers from my experience over many decades .
