I was given the screenname "WatchMe_1999" on a 90s screenname generator website without my consent. Now my basement is haunted.

I had just moved into my new house. To celebrate, I made an account on an old screenname generator website. Since the 90s were such a long time ago and screenname generators were no longer the norm, I thought my birthday was a pretty fun time to make one. I remember going to a cyber cafe back in the 90s and was like "yes, I screenname." <br><br>I made my new screenname offline and crossed my fingers that it was available in this old site. I get just about 2 letters in before it auto-completes. <br><br>WatchMe_1999<br><br>I laughed and thought, "ha! I didn’t even have to do it myself! I can already tell this is going to be the best birthday ever." I logged off and just decided to go to my basement to look at all the boxes I had to unpack. I was getting a little lazy since I had been on the computer all day. <br><br>I took a nap in the basement, and when I woke up, I heard a pop, followed by the smell of popcorn. I was super groggy and fell back asleep thinking of the popcorn. <br><br>I woke up again and saw my cat running around in the basement. He had been lost for 2 weeks. I about cried thinking my screenname was lucky and my cat came back. I chased my cat up the stairs and put him in my room, then went back down to the basement. I decided to look around and take a few photos. As I was taking photos, more and more things started to happen. <br><br>I heard a cat’s meow, in multiple directions. I also heard some sound that sounded like the 90s just happening on all sides. In other words, the sound of dial up, then the sound of a microwave beeping, then the sound of the Rug Rats theme song echoing outside, then the sound of a cat meowing, then the sound of the Chili’s Baby Back Ribs commercial playing loudly in the corner. <br><br>I heard more Chili’s commercials on the 2nd floor. I heard more Chili’s commercials on the 3rd floor. I heard more and more baby back ribs commercials as I got further and further from my basement. I wondered if I had some sort of speakers in my walls playing these noises.<br><br>That night, I went to bed and felt better just thinking about all the Chili’s commercials. I didn’t have Chili’s in a long time, about a year. I fell asleep thinking of the Chili’s ads. I had a dream of the Chili’s ads. I was at Chili’s in my dream. I kept seeing Chili’s ads on the TV in my dream. <br><br>I woke up just a few hours later to hearing some Chili’s commercials. To make a long story short, the Chili’s commercials weren't stopping. Chili’s is on every commercial. Chili’s is on every radio station. Chili’s is about to drive me nuts. I was at the top of the stairs as the commercials were playing and thought I saw my basement door crack open. I was laying in my bed, half asleep, as I heard a long Chili’s commercial playing in my driveway. <br><br>This was 2 weeks ago. The Chili’s commercials still haven't stopped. My house was haunted by Chili’s. I don’t know what made them start, but the only thing I did was make a new offline screenname for an old website generator. I tried to contact Chili’s on my screenname, but they never logged on.
