My grandfather is a great example of why no man should feel obligated to marry and have children for security.

Right now, in his 70s, my grandfather is unfortunately in an assisted living home due to dementia. Without going too deep into the circumstances, we all knew this was coming for a while. The sad part is that his wife of 40 years straight up refused to care for him, especially in his final years. She is completely capable of it as well, even more so than my aunt and uncle. <br><br>She's always been a selfish woman who's done what she's wanted her entire life; even having multiple affairs with other men. My grandfather knew about all of it and put up with it; all for the sake of his children. My aunt and uncle hate her for it, but won't say anything since she'll cut them out of the will. If my grandfather wasn't in the shape he is in, I feel like he would've left her years ago, but alas, it's too late now. <br><br>Anyway, that's my grandparents story.
