a reply to @roastplunger

let's get this out of the way before someone else repeats the same lie to me or asks this live

this sub does not speak for all men.

i do not speak for all men.

a small minority of men have been willing to challenge the patriarchy, to point out the double standards against men, to tell the truth about women. And for that we have been ostracized by society, men and women alike.

No one wants to hear it. most people would rather blame us for everything.

for example, i was a victim of sexual assault by a woman. i told my friends. they didn't believe me. they said it was impossible. they only believed me when i told them the truth, that i was a virgin at the time and she violently raped me. then they said "you're just a nerd, you should be grateful" and left it at that.

i didn't get that kind of reaction because I'M a bad person. i got that reaction because i'm a MAN.

this sub is just a collection of men telling our story, where we have been screwed over and where we have been silenced.

if you want to know the truth about men, listen to our stories. listen to our perspectives.

because otherwise, you're just basing your opinions on the lies that women tell about us.

and if you want to know what kind of treatment men REALLY get from women, listen to our stories.

you'd be surprised how women speak about us behind our backs, or with a mask of femininity.

so no, we do not speak for all men.

and we don't need to.

because most men are part of the problem.

they don't want to hear the truth, they don't want to listen to our perspective.

you'd be surprised how many men think that women are gods, and that feminism is a patriarchy-busting movement.

no, we do not speak for all men.

but we speak with the authority of our experiences, and we speak because someone has to.
