AITA for not allowing my guests to control what my daughter eats?

My son (11M) and daughter (8F) have very different eating habits. My son is a picky eater and my daughter will eat anything. In fact, she loves food. For her birthday, we planned a party at our house. My wife’s guests (I’ll call them “Joke Family”), for some reason hijacked the planning of the party and made it all about the food. They even strong armed my wife into allowing them to foot the bill for the food. They made it very clear that they were going to serve adult food because my son and daughter would eat whatever was given to them. <br><br>I was a little miffed by all this, but for the most part kept my cool until one member of Joke Family asked me if my daughter was gonna stop eating her weight in food any time soon because she was starting to get a little fat. Now I’m really pissed off because my daughter isn’t fat at all. She is tall, athletic, and very strong for her age. She is not fat, she is well fed. I’ve never been the confrontational type, but I told them to either get out of my house or get out of my daughters business. <br><br>The party happens and my daughter is acting out because of the food. The food provided was vegetables and chicken breast, with very little sauce, very little flavor. None of the kids liked it. They asked for pizza, ice cream, cake, or anything that actually tasted good. I caved and ordered them pizzas, but not before I got my daughters approval. She was excited and I could tell a huge burden had been lifted off her shoulders. <br><br>When the pizzas came, my daughter dug in started eating. Five minutes later, one of the adults at the party grabs the pizza away from her and tells her she has eaten enough. Again, I was pissed. I yelled at them, in front of everyone, to get out of my house. Not only are they insulting my daughter, they are telling her what she can eat? I don’t need this type of negativity at my daughters party. <br><br>So the party ends, everyone but immediate family go home, and my wife and I are left with a huge mess and a very big fight. My wife is on Joke Family’s side. She says I over reacted, I was rude and inappropriate, and I embarrassed her family by the way I treated them. <br><br>AITA?
