My boyfriend told another girl that he loved her.

My(23F) bf(24M) and I have been dating for about a year. We are in a long distance relationship. Before we started dating he would chat with this one girl(22F). After we got together he said that he stopped talking to her. He was caught up in her for a while before he asked me out but I thought he was over her. He told me that he loved me and I believed him. <br><br>I recently found out that he was still talking with her. He told her that he loves her. He told her stuff about me that he shouldn’t have. He told her that he wished he could be with her. I’m really upset. I confronted him and he said that it didn’t matter that he said he loves her beause she lives across the country and he said it just to make her happy. He said that he doesn’t love her and that he was just trying to be nice. He said that he won’t talk to her anymore but I want him to stay away from me.
