Im a 30yo woman, mother of a 2yo girl. I f34, my husband m35.

So it was saturday evening, sunset. We were on the beach and had just arrived. My daughter and husband were in the car. I ran down to the shore to feel the water because why not, thats what people do. On my way down a guy in his 30s with a baby and a toddler passed me and said "watch out or the water will get you" and I said ok. Then i got to the shoreline and turned around to walk back and the water caught me and soaked my jeans and boots and the guy said "told you so" like, in a jerk kinda way so i said "yeah, real mature to laugh at someone because of this. You shouldve helped instead of laughing at someone because they got their pants wet"he said "no im good, you dont have to talk to me ever again" and I said "thank god, i got a husband that doesnt make fun of me when i need help, unlike you. You could give your daughters an example of how to treat a human being" and he said "my daughters are already taught to be better than you"

Ok so now for the AH part:

Well, on my way to the parking lot with my husband and kid, we passed this guy again, and he was now struggling with getting his car out of the sand, because his wheels were half in the sand and he was going back and forth fully sticking in the sand. I asked my husband if we should help him but he said no, because of how rude he was earlier. But i saw his two girls, who mustve been like 3 and 2 years old, standing and watching the car struggle to get out of the sand, and i felt really bad and wanted to tell my husband to help, but in the end i didnt, we just drove off and im really gnawing on this.

AITA?
