AAPL just overtook Saudi Aramco as the worlds most valuable company. That means the total worth of a consumer electronics company is now greater than the total worth of an oil monopoly company in a nation with a century's worth of oil reserves backing it up still.

It's crazy. There are people alive today who remember a time when oil was too cheap to use to make plastic, but was still good enough to burn and use as fuel.
