Hey, quick question.

There's this guy who's a really skilled artist and he posts some of his stuff on Twitter, and I've noticed that tons of others do, too. It's all pretty cool stuff, but I'm not sure why I'm seeing it on my Twitter feed when I've never actually followed any of these Twitter Accountss.

I've done some digging and found that they all take photos of their artwork and post it on some website, and Twitter automatically pulls that over to the Twitter feed.

They've got thousands of followers and when I look at what they're doing, I realize what they're doing is I think is what we call fan art, as most of it seems to be artwork of superheroes and other fan characters. But they're really good, and other really good artists seem to be doing the same thing, and they clearly have a large following.

So, here's the question: Are these people getting paid for that? I'm guessing yes, but I'm not really sure how it works.

Anybody in the know, please let me know the truth of how it works.
