My family's sponsor was abducted.

My Dad worked in a highly competitive industry and was a self confessed alcoholic. Dad did a sponsor program where he'd have an "angel." <br><br>Over a period of about a year, I saw a man sponsor my father from a dark place to wellness. <br><br>That man would meet with my Dad at his company and walk him home to our house. My Dad would call him from the liquor store on the corner and the man would show up before he left. <br><br>My Dad was arrested for drunk driving and the man was at the jail before he was even processed. <br><br>I think I saw the man once or twice out of 10 times but when Dad did his 1 year chip from sobriety he said that it was all because of his sponsor - the man I have described. <br><br>That man's name was Michael. <br><br>But the most bizarre thing is that he was never seen again after that 1 year celebration. <br><br>I didn't think much of it at the time, I was a kid. But my Dad would tell me years later that Michael's family never even heard from him again. <br><br>And then I tried to find him on Facebook, linked in etc. <br><br>Nothing.<br><br>Over the years I would ask my Dad about Michael, it really bothered me. <br><br>My Dad would insist he was real but maybe the name was wrong. <br><br>I'd known a few other families who'd had him as a sponsor. <br><br>It was the most bizarre thing. It really made me question the nature of reality.
