Hey everyone, have you ever wondered which are the top 10 places to visit in Europe?

In this post, you will find my top 10 best places to visit in Europe. This is a list I have compiled myself after years of travelling and listening to others who have visited these places.

> **Rank 10:** Paris, France (Eiffel Tower)
Although it is one of the most famous cities in the world and the city of love, I have to put Paris at number 10. Paris has a lot to offer, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe and much more. But, it is also a city that is quite expensive and you always have to pay attention to your belongings, as there are many pickpockets on the road.

> **Rank 9:** Rome, Italy (The Vatican)
After Paris, the Eternal City follows. Rome is a city that has a lot to offer and has a rich history. The city has many great restaurants, with great food, beautiful architecture and a really pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, you always have to queue for a long time, which can be a nuisance.

> **Rank 8:** Berlin, Germany
Berlin, the capital city of Germany, it is really interesting and you can spent here a lot of your time. It has many museums, the Berlin Zoo, a great night life and much more. But, the city is also quite expensive and I think it's a bit too dirty and not really well maintained, which is why I wouldn't rank it higher.

> **Rank 7:** Vienna, Austria
Vienna is a really nice city, it has a lot to offer, such as the famous Schönbrunn Palace, many museums, opera houses and much more. Vienna is also known for its great and delicious pastries. Unfortunately, I found the city a bit too big and sterile, which is why I wouldn't rank it higher.

> **Rank 6:** Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona is one of my favourite cities in Europe and I hope to go back there someday. The city is really colourful, lively and it has a lot to offer, such as the famous Sagrada Familia or Park Güell. Unfortunately, the city is quite expensive and you have to pay attention to your belongings, because there are many pickpockets.

> **Rank 5:** Amsterdam, Netherlands
Amsterdam is a really nice and beautiful city, it is small and you can discover a lot on foot. The city is known for its many canals, the famous Jordaan district, a great night life and much more. I found the city really clean and well maintained, which is why I ranked it so high.

> **Rank 4:** Dublin, Ireland
Dublin, the capital city of Ireland, is a great place to visit, it offers a lot of great things, such as the famous Guinness Storehouse, the Trinity College, the Temple Bar... The people there are also really friendly and fun, unfortunately, the city is quite expensive.

> **Rank 3:** Istanbul, Turkey
Istanbul is a really interesting city and a great place to visit. It offers a lot of great things, such as the famous Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern, the Grand Bazaar... The city is full of life and has many great restaurants. Unfortunately, the city is quite dirty and not well maintained, which is why I wouldn't rank it higher.

> **Rank 2:** Prague, Czech Republic
Prague is a really beautiful city and a great place to visit, it is small and you can discover a lot of the city on foot or by bus. The city offers a lot of great things, such as Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, the famous John Lennon Wall... The people there are also really friendly, which is why I ranked the city so high.

> **Rank 1:** Athens, Greece
Athens, the capital city of Greece, is, in my opinion, the best city to visit in Europe, it has a lot to offer, such as the famous Acropolis, the ancient Agora of Athens, the Monastiraki Flea Market... The city is full of life and the people there are really friendly. It's also not too expensive and everything is well maintained.
