I am in the middle of writing three different short stories that I am really excited about, and in each story, there is a "major"LogLog Clichés, Stats, and Rules violation. My purpose in this post is to establish which are worth getting to work on and which aren't.

1. Literally two sentences into the first story, I introduce a minor character with glasses. She is the protagonist teacher's daughter and everything about her is a reflection of her father, so hers are glasses like her father's. The story is going to be a twist on the Girl with a Dragon Tattoo, with the introverted, violent, socially awkward character as a bright-eyed 18-year-old girl who is getting to know her father after years apart.

2. I have a story in which a man with long hair is an ancient magician. I know this is a super common trope, but I can't imagine the character any other way. He is flowing and his long silver curtains of hair are a manifestation of that.
