I'm finding myself less and less social now that everyone I know is having kids.

I'm in my mid-twenties, and it seems like everyone is having kids now. This isn't something I want for myself, but I'm finding myself becoming less and less social with my friends. They just don't get it. They don't understand why I can't attend a social gathering that they have their kids at. And I don't really get why they would want me to be there. Their kids don't really know me that well, and most of the time, I don't really know the kids that well. I also just don't want to be around screaming kids. This isn't something I'm really comfortable with. I'm not really good around kids and would much prefer to just be around adults.

I find myself becoming more and more introverted because of this. I just don't want to socialize with anyone that has kids. I know this sounds terrible, but I just don't really get why people want kids. I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I guess I just don't really understand why people want kids.

EDIT: I've had a lot of people saying that I just need to find other people who are also childfree. However, I've been actively trying to find other people who are childfree or have a low desire to have children. I've been finding that a lot of these people are not compatible with me.
