Advice for a beginner

Hello everyone. Wanted to ask if there are any tips for the beginning of my journey. I'm going to learn English and German. I know it will take time but I'd like to know what you think of the following: <br><br>I'm going to read books in German and watch German movies to "soak" in the language. When it comes to English I know it will be a little harder for me but I'm here to ask you for tips. <br><br>I'd love to "soak" in English but it's the first language for most of the world so it will be a little "soaked" anyway. Also, English and German are similar so I'm going to work on English first and then come to German later.
