This is for the “food picture” spammers. I eat healthy, but I’m not going to take pictures of every meal. I just threw together a bowl of what I had that was about to go bad and realized it’s an entire day’s worth of calories, all for the price of $1.56. Not completely balanced, but I’ll get my daily amount of everything as the day goes on.

*1 cup cooked jalapeno cornbread (250 calories, (75g carbs, 4g protein, 10g fat)
*1/4 cup cooked kidney bean black bean chili (250 calories, (40g carbs, 20g protein, 5g fat)
*1 hard boiled egg (78 calories, (1g carbs, 6g protein, 5g fat)
*1 cup frozen mixed veggies (55 calories, (10g carbs, 1g protein, 0g fat)
*1 slice of whole grain bread (89 calories, (15g carbs, 2g protein, 1g fat)
*2 tablespoons of almond butter (190 calories, (8g carbs, 4g protein, 18g fat)

Total calories: 1,287
Total macronutriens: 149g carbs, 37g protein, 39g fat

Total cost: $1.56

Edit: steering the conversation away from calories, macro & cost, and back to the point of my post – this food is a fucking bore. I threw a bunch of dry ingredients in a pot, added the minimum amount of water to make the recipe work, and then threw it in the fridge. The cornbread is dry, the beans are bland, the veggies are mushy, the bread is stale, and the almond butter is sticky and fucking disgusting. If you eat this way, you should be ashamed. I’ve been doing this on and off for the past 3 years, and am doing my best to change my ways.

Edit2: I’ve been meal prepping for nearly a year now, and used to eat the exact same thing for lunch every day, all the time, and ended up with a severe case of pancreatitis, and then I was told I had IBS, but I ended up bringing my diet up to 4 servings of fruits and veggies a day, and lost 55 pounds in two and a half months.
