Do you wash new clothes before you wear them?

My husband is like “you gotta wash your pants at least 5 times before they start to feel good”<br><br>My sister washes most of her new clothes several times before they start to feel good.<br><br>Why in the hell do I have to wash my clothes more than once?<br><br>Please explain your reasoning behind the wash.<br><br>If I buy a shirt I don’t want to be thinking “Can’t wear until I wash 3 more times.”<br><br>Also if you think I’m insane and need to get out more… I understand. I’ve been inside for 2 days and need a drink.
