I’m 29f and I’ve been on this dumb app for a minute now. I’m childfree. I will never want kids. I do not want to be a mom. I don’t enjoy kids. It’s that simple.

I’m a teacher. I teach 11th and 12th grade English. I like my students, but I also want to strangle them most of the time. I cannot imagine how much I would hate my own kids. How much I would resent them and want to drown them. My sister in law and brother have a two year old that is seriously the most obnoxious, loud, and annoying child I have ever met. I would hate to be my brother. I truly feel sorry for him having to deal with that for the rest of his life.

My bf and I are both childfree, which is why we are together. It’s a deal breaker. We are both in agreement that we will get a vasectomy and tubal ligation as soon as possible. We want to travel everywhere, we want to spend our money on us. I want to go to law school. We want to be able to go out to eat and go to the movies without having to worry about some brat at home.

This goes for the people who “accidentally” have kids. DOG GONNIT, USE BIRTH CONTROL. I have been on birth control for TEN YEARS. I have never had a pregnancy scare. If you do not want to have a kid, use a condom, get on birth control, do something. I have been a teacher for 8 years. I watch parents struggle to make ends meet. I watch parents struggle to take care of their kids. I watch fathers beat their children. I watch mothers neglect their children.

If you cannot afford to have a child, DO NOT HAVE A CHILD. Get a dog. Volunteer at a school. Get a stuffed animal and pretend it’s a baby. Do something else with your time. I was told by a former principal that he wanted kids so that he could have someone to take care of him in his old age. You should not burden a child with that responsibility.

I do not understand how anyone can think that having kids is a good idea.
