To Americans who post about traveling to Europe: Please don't wait for "the exchange rate to get better" when making your travel plans.

To Americans who post on this sub (and some others like r/Europe and r/ricksteves) who talk about traveling to Europe, especially Western and Northern Europe:

I see a recurring theme of Americans saying they "will have to wait till the exchange rate between USD and EUR gets better." The European currency is currently very weak against the USD, with the USD being higher than the EUR for the longest period in over a decade.

I honestly can't see the Euro getting weaker against the USD anytime soon, and it has been more than a year since the USD was higher than the EUR. I think it's a bad strategy to wait around for the EUR to become weaker than it already is.

Best,
Swede.
