1 dollar and a knife saved my life

I was in a really nasty relationship with my girlfriend and some things happened. She got really angry and we had a fight. She left me and I was really sad. I felt like I lost something very important and decided to go to my friends house. At that point I really didn't have anything left. I was homeless and felt really alone. I had a bottle of booze and a knife in my bag and not much more.

I had a gun license but didn't have the gun on me because there is a place to keep it when you don't have it with you. I didn't have anything on my name so that's why I didn't buy an apartment. I was using the time to relax and had a friend who let me sleep at his place, but I wanted my own apartment.

The relationship ended early so most of my things went to her. I didn't have much anyway. A few t shirts and pants and they all got wet in the rain as it was a rainy night. I had only 1 dollar in my pocket and a small knife my father gave me. The little knife saved my life, but it wasn't just the knife.

I was on my way to my friends house and was walking through some alleys. Someone approached me and knifed me in my side. I was bleeding really bad and going through a lot of pain. To my luck my brother was in his car at that very same place. He was in his car on the road next to the alley where I got knifed and saw this happening. He came running and saw me on the ground bleeding. I don't really remember what happened next, but he told me that he ran back to his car and drove very fast towards the person who knifed me. The guy knifed me again but brother hit him with his car.

I was rushed to the hospital and got help in time. I was lucky as my brother was driving close by. I got really bad injuries to my stomach, but my brother saved my life. I really don't know what wouldn't have happened without my brother and his car.

When I was in the hospital my ex ripped all my clothes and threw them away. She told me to not contact her ever again. I wasn't planning to. I decided to end everything and buy a new apartment and all the stuff I needed. I sold my car and bought an apartment close to my job. I bought new clothes and started a new life.

I got a new job, but I quit and find another job at the beginning of this month. I'm doing fine now and feel really happy. The attack was 22 years ago and I'm 37 now. I really can't imagine what would have happened if I wasn't walking towards my brother. I never forget that night and I will never forget this knifing that almost killed me. It was really bad and left me with bad scars. I still have pain in my stomach every once in a while.

The guy who knifed me was on the street and the police found him and arrested him. I had a gun license, but the knife ripped all my intestines. I have a lot of problems and have to avoid certain food. I'm not allowed to eat fried foods like french fries and have to pay attention to what I eat. My stomach is very complicated.

I'm doing fine now and I've learned to live with this. I still have a lot of problems and can't do a lot of things, but I feel happy. I live alone now and am not in a relationship. It's better for me this way and I feel more comfortable.

I just want to say that sometimes life isn't fair and the best thing you can do is accept it. It's not easy, but you have to learn to live with it. I really don't know what would have happened if my brother wasn't there, but I'm doing fine now. I still have complications, but I've learned to be happy.
