I've been fascinated by AI for the last 10+ years. Doing my best to share my insights. Here is my list of the major changes I think are coming:

**Good:**

1. The world will have a lot more free time to enjoy life. With most jobs automated, people will be able to dedicate more time to the things that bring them joy. (This is a double edged sword and has some pretty significant implications on the economy and how society functions.)
2. AI will help us understand the human body better. Many health issues will be eradicated as AI helps us understand the human body better. This could also lead to significant gains in human life expectancy as we can algorithmically understand cancer and perfect treatments.
3. The world will be much cleaner. Robots and AI will clean our oceans, roads and air. This be done by searching for debris/trash in real-time and cleaning it.
4. Repetitive work will be a thing of the past. Not only will people have more free time to enjoy life, but they will be free from repetitive chores and jobs. No more cleaning up waste in sewers, no more working in construction, no more working in an office as a data processor... all gone.
5. Food and water will be abundant. Robots will help farms become more efficient and produce significantly more food. Trash will be sorted and recycled faster. Water will be cleaned and distributed more efficiently.
6. Healthcare costs will decline. As people live longer, there will be fewer health issues. Robots will also be able to help with operations, reducing the cost of hiring a large team of doctors for years at a time.
7. There will be less violence. With less people working, the incentive to commit violent crimes will significantly decrease.
8. Space exploration will become cheaper and faster. AI will be able to help us explore space in real time, and we will be able to communicate with space probes and vehicles in a much more efficient manner.
9. Disaster response times will be significantly shorter. AI will help us understand and prepare for natural disasters better.
10. Education will be much easier to learn and more accessible for everyone. AI powered learning platforms will help people learn new skills at a faster and more efficient pace.

**Bad:**

1. We will be less empathetic and less human. With more people working less, they will have less social interactions. This could lead to less empathy for each other and our surroundings.
2. There will be a lot less jobs. Many people rely on their jobs for purpose. Without a job, people will struggle to find meaning in their lives.
3. The rich will get a lot richer. A smaller percentage of the population will control even more of the world's wealth.
4. Not all people will adapt well to the changes. It will take time for the world to adjust to such drastic changes.
5. Some people will choose to never leave their homes. With AI, everyone will be able to have their needs met without ever having to interact with each other.
6. There will be a select few that control the world's wealth. Capitalists will be able to manipulate AI in many ways to make themselves richer. This will lead to a smaller percentage of the population controlling an even larger percentage of the world's wealth.
7. Self-driving cars and trucks will kill millions of jobs. Many people are reliant on the transportation industry for their careers.
8. Many businesses will go bankrupt. As people have more free time, the way we consume media will change.
9. The mental health crisis will get worse. People will need to find new ways to interact with each other as we substitute in-person interactions for algorithmic ones.
10. AI could become uncontrollable. As AI gets smarter, we may lose the ability to control it. This could lead to the end of humanity.
