AITA for not helping my daughter with her math homework?

I (M/38) am a software engineer and my (15, F) daughter is currently taking an advanced geometry class, which I know a lot about.

My daughter has always had a tough time with math. She's been receiving C's and D's in her classes, but wants to keep taking them because she thinks they will look good on college applications. I have been pressuring her to stop taking math classes like this because I know she can get better grades in easier classes that she actually enjoys.

Her recent assignment was on a subject that I happen to know a lot about. I could easily help her with this assignment, but I did not because I think she should do it on her own or ask her teacher for help. If she can't do this assignment on her own, she has no business taking the class and should take the easier version.

She thought I was being totally AH for not helping her, and I think she has a lack of work ethic. I told her that she needs to take the easier version of the class next time, and she got very upset. She went to talk with her mother, and she said that I should have helped her.

AITA?

Edit: If you have a suggestion for a post title, please send me a private message. My account will be banned if I receive any more hate PM's.

Edit2: Stop making accounts to create a false narrative for yourself and then to create a post about how terrible of a person I am.
