I'm scared to become a teacher after the Texas incident

Hi everyone, I am a student teacher in high school, and after the Texas incident I don't know how i can do this. A lot of my friends are feeling the same way. I've always wanted to be a teacher, but what happened yesterday was terrible. I cried at the thought of kids dying in the classroom like that. I don't know what to do. Has anyone been in my situation?
