I don’t understand people who speak with their mask on

I don’t know if it’s just me but when people are wearing a mask (rightly so) they still speak to me as if I can hear them even though I have my hearing aids in. I sometimes have to ask them to repeat what they just said because the mask restricts the sound of their voice. It honestly makes me feel stupid asking them to repeat it and I’ve had people get annoyed at me. I wish there could be a way to make masks easier for people with hearing loss but I’m not a scientist.<br><br>Edit: I have moderate hearing loss and I can hear people speaking with masks on, just not clearly
