I just told my girlfriend we can't go on a trip yet until she opens up to me about what I've noticed.

I was walking with her to the grocery store last week and she forgot her wallet, and I told her not to worry I would pay for her.<br><br>Then she did something that I had never seen before. She went in her purse and pulled out a whole bunch of cash, and I was like "wait what? Why didn't you just use that?"<br><br>And she told me "I didn't know I had it on me".<br><br>Then when we were in the store another thing happened. She went and grabbed a sandwich and put it in her purse. I told her "you don't have to do that, I said I would pay for everything". And she said "oh, I thought you only meant for the groceries".<br><br>And again, she had a whole bunch of cash in her purse.<br><br>I let it go, even though I had never seen her act like that before.<br><br>Then just a few days ago we were eating dinner at home, and when we were done she took the leftovers by the handful and shoved it in her purse.<br><br>I asked her "what are you doing with that?" And she told me "I just wanna have some food for later".<br><br>I told her "you don't have to hide it, I'll pack you some leftovers and you can take it with you if you want".<br><br>This has happened several times since.<br><br>Each time she has a ton of cash in her purse.<br><br>I feel like she is hiding something from me, and I don't know what to do.<br><br>I have been with her for 4 months, and I feel like I just started noticing this behavior over the last few weeks.<br><br>But I get the feeling that she has been doing it for a long time before that.<br><br>I know I shouldn't care, but I feel like she is hiding something from me and I don't know what else to do.<br><br>I want to go on a trip with her, but I don't want to go anywhere until she tells me the truth about what's going on.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>EDIT: I Better clarify that this happened in the United States. There is no issue with food. Also, money is not the issue either. I was simply pointing out that she had a lot of money on hand.<br><br>The issue is that whenever she is doing this it seems like she's trying to hide it. Even when she knows full well I'm okay with it.<br><br>She doesn't need to hide food from me. She knows she can take some with her if she wants.<br><br>The issue is that she is hiding it anyway.
