What is happening with the recent price jump on 5.56/.223?

So I noticed that the price on 5.56/223 has jumped hard in the last few months. I assume it is related to the supply issues that are going on right now. I am sort of new to being active with firearms so I am sure people who are more seasoned noticed it before now. What is the reason for this hard jump in prices. And do you think it will go back down?
