So I made my chicken noodle soup from scratch earlier today to help with my cold, but I'm too full from my latkes to eat it right now. All the time I wasted waiting for it to cook and ready to eat and now I won't have room left in my stomach to get full on it. I think the cold is making me too hungry and I can't eat anymore. So here's the recipe I came up with:

Ingredients:

* 2 lbs of chicken breast
* 4 carrots
* 2 celery stalks
* 4 cloves of garlic
* 2 potatoes
* 3 cups of chicken broth
* 2 cups of water
* Pinch of salt
* 1-2 tsp of black pepper
* 2 tbsp butter
* 1/2 cup of milk
* 2 cups of egg noodles
* 1 cup of frozen peas and carrots
* 1-2 tsp dried thyme

Instructions: Chop the chicken and put it in the pot. Chop the carrots, celery, garlic, and potatoes and add it to the pot. Add in the chicken broth, water, salt, black pepper, and thyme to the pot. Add in the butter to the pot and stir to combine. Bring the ingredients to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 1/2 hours or until the chicken is tender and the vegetables are tender. Add in the milk. Stir and combine. Bring the ingredients to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes to an hour. Boil the egg noodles and add to the pot. Add in the frozen peas and carrots to the pot. Stir and combine. Let the soup simmer for another 30 minutes to an hour. Serve hot.

Edit: I finally had a bowl from the pot and it was creamy and delicious. The flavors were so good and they blended well together. This recipe was a good idea. I'm happy I made it.
