I have a lot of family members that are in their 30s and 40s who are living paycheck to paycheck. They make decent money, but they are not in control of their finances and are fearful of their financial situation. I want to help them improve their financial literacy and eventually encourage them to invest their money, but I don't know where to start. They aren't very receptive to advice and are suspicious of people who try to help them with their finances. I don't want to criticize or lecture them, but I want to offer them resources and support so they can take control of their finances and build wealth.

Has anyone else had this problem? How did you approach it and what strategies worked for you?

TL;DR: I have family members who are struggling financially and I want to help them improve their financial literacy and invest their money, but they are not receptive to advice.
